BRENNAN’S SPAR Loughinisland scoops a myriad of top Awards!
Local retailer, Conor McKibbin scored a hat-trick of awards in the glittering Forecourt Trader awards ceremony held in London, mid September, winning the titles of ‘Best use of Retail Technology'; ‘Rural Independent Dealer'; and the overall ‘Best rural site' which was a fantastic set of results for the store!
More recently, the McKibbin's attended another awards ceremony in London, the highly acclaimed, UK-wide ‘Retail Industry Awards' which were held in the glamorous location of the Park Plaza Hotel, Westminster Bridge, overlooking the River Thames, on what proved to be another very successful night for Brennan's SPAR in which they picked up the highly contested award, of ‘Independent Retailer of the Year 1001sq ft to 2999 sq ft.'
This is a fantastic achievement for the store and the 44 staff, led by owner Conor and store manager Gemma Kearney; and is a testament to the hard work and dedication put in by the whole team into providing this multi award-winning store for the community.
These annual industry awards, which celebrate the best in retailing in both the multiple and independent retail sectors, are firmly established as the highlight of the industry calendar, with strong competition in every category from the whole of the UK.
Conor McKibbin, store owner Brennan's SPAR Loughinisland commented following the ceremonies:
"We are beyond happy with the awards which we have been granted this year, it's been an exceptionally fantastic year for us and to be rewarded and recognised for our hard work and effort is more than we can ask for!It is our priority to provide everything the local and passing customer could need or want, in an efficient and friendly environment, and we believe we cater for all customer needs in our store from the car wash, [removed][removed] to the food to go, to our exclusive own brand Brennan's Ice Cream, which brings visitors from near and far, and is quite legendary - in fact I think it deserves an award in itself!
We have a great team in Brennan's SPAR and a great site, and to win these titles are just the icing on the cake for us! We are proud to serve the surrounding area and loyal customer base, and hope to continue to do so for many more years to come!"
